*BAY AREA SOCIAL WORKER KICKS OFF PRIDE MONTH WITH ANNOUNCEMENT OF CAMPAIGN FOR CALIFORNIA’S 12TH CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT

*Oakland, California: Reimagining our Democracy – at its core is a movement to restore the power of government into the hands of the people. It is recognizing that as society evolves, so must the way we govern. As a queer, black man, Denard lives at the intersection of several marginalized identities. He works to elevate the voices and experiences of those communities.

After receiving his B.A. in Psychology from Rollins College, and his M.A. in Child & Adolescent Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, Denard has worked for over a decade in public service. Denard currently works as a Social Worker for the City and County of San Francisco coordinating a guaranteed income pilot program geared toward former foster youth. He also serves the City of Oakland as Chair of the Housing, Residential Rent and Relocation Board (Rent Board).

Denard encourages marginalized residents across the East Bay to take back their power by expanding their civic engagement. Power to ALL the People!
